This is my latest matte painting, all my own work this one. I thought it would be great to try a completely different lighting condition and I am pleased with the way it has turned out. But, as always, still a lot to learn!
I thought I would try a misty landscape, so I started making up these block shapes in orange tones which gradually evolved into this sketch (top). I then colour corrected the image to give it more of an early morning feel (bottom).
This is my second complete matte painting, working from a DVD by Dylan Cole. I have tried to produce as unique an image as possible, rather than just copying his. If you click on the image it will take you to a page that will show stages I went through to get to this final image.
